There are 13 mysterious labyrinths on this island I have been to.


As some people say, such a labyrinth was a part of an old burial rite of saami people from Karelia. The soul of a dead went through the labyrinth, got tangled in the middle of it and went to the Realm of the Dead or Tuonela. This means that this island, Bolshoj Zajatskij Ostrov, might had been Tuonela..

SO 1. 165 km left to the Arctic Circle

Instead of studying hard at the university I was riding a bike here the whole week. A group of islands lies in the White Sea. Only 165 km left to the Arctic Circle.
I have about 600 photographs of this amazing place, so this is just a small part.
